How to Read an HTML file on Github?

Adding the prefix  does the trick.

That is:

  • Point your browser to the  html file you want to view in the GitHub gui. The text in the address bar should look something like this:[account]/[repo]/blob/master/[report-file].html
  • Add to it  the prefix  so that the text in the address bar now reads:                                             [account]/[repo]/blob/master/[report-file].html.
  • Hit Enter and the rendered HTML file will appear on your screen.
